All the Dirt. All in One Place.

The best stories are found by digging under the surface. At The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, we put in the work to get to the bottom of some of history’s most intriguing tales, exploring the age-old dichotomy of good guys vs. bad guys.

Located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, The Mob Museum is an immersive experience exploring the ongoing power struggle between organized crime and law enforcement from the Mob’s origination to today.

Through vivid storytelling, guests are presented with the facts, the fiction and the gray area in between — showcasing the events and characters that played an integral (and infamous) role in U.S. history.

Taking its cues from the Entertainment Capital of the World, The Mob Museum seamlessly melds intrigue with explanation through four expertly-curated floors of interactive exhibits, multimedia displays, engaging artifacts and pop culture lore.

Guests can explore at their own pace, tour with a guide or uncover Museum surprises as part of a group scavenger hunt. Beyond an intricate narrative that leads guests through an accurate historical timeline of the embattled history of the Mob and its effect on the country, immersive experiences unveil the realities of those who fought (and continue to fight) back.

One of the Museum’s most prized artifacts is its home, an immaculately restored former U.S. Post Office and Courthouse. The revered 1930s neoclassical building housed many compelling moments in its lifetime, including one of the Kefauver hearings

Forget the stuffy traditional museum experience. The Mob Museum engages the senses through hands-on exhibits, heart-pounding action and surprises around every corner. Guests use forensic evidence to solve real-life crimes in the Crime Lab, test their instincts in the Firearm Training Simulator and tease their palates sampling moonshine during the Distillery Tour. While in The Underground, located in the Museum basement, experience the sights, sounds and tastes of Prohibition-era living in the fully functioning Speakeasy – but only if you know the password.

Forming an Unbreakable Connection

The Mob Museum opened on February 14, 2012, continuing the building’s cultural significance and playing a vital role in downtown Las Vegas’ revival. Already deeply embedded in Las Vegas, The Mob Museum is committed to supporting the community through education and senior outreach and programs, field trips and a robust events calendar offering opportunities for both education and entertainment.

The Mob Museum is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and was awarded national accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) on March 1, 2017. This distinction means the Museum meets National Standards and Best Practices for U.S. museums.
