This is NevadaGIVES fifth statewide online giving event. Nevada’s Big Give is 24 hours of online giving benefiting charities across the state and fosters charitable giving by encouraging Nevadans to give where they live.
Unlike other fundraising initiatives, Nevada’s Big Give promotes personal giving to all of the state’s participating nonprofits through its unique and highly visible online platform. In addition to encouraging continued support to Nevadan’s favorite causes and campaigns, Nevada’s Big Give introduces donors to new nonprofits and educational causes attracting first-time donations. To date, Nevada’s Big Give has raised just over $2 million for nearly 500 Nevada charities from over 15,000 unique donors.
The Mob Museum is participating again this year and your donation helps us to achieve our expanding mission, deepen our reach within the community, and ensure our future as a vibrant cultural destination. To donate to the Museum as part of the Big Give, click here. We encourage you to find five other people—friends, family or neighbors—to donate just $10 to a charity of their choice, as well. When you #FindYour5, you will have made a significant impact in your community.
Every registered 501(c)(3) organization in Nevada is eligible to participate and receive donations from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. PST on Thursday, March 10, 2016, by logging onto www.NVBigGive.org. Clark County School District schools are eligible to participate through partnership with The Public Education Foundation. All participating organizations must register on the website on or before March 1, 2016.
Following the kick-off event at the Museum, donors and the community at-large are invited to stop by Inspire Theater, the official headquarters for the 2016 Nevada’s Big Give, located at 107 S. Las Vegas Blvd., from 5-11 p.m.
