OCTOBER 16, 2016: ANIMAL CRUELTY PREVENTION. FREE MONTHLY COMMUNITY SAFETY FORUMS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LVMPD AND SPONSORED BY NV ENERGY
State and federal laws define cruelty to animals as “overdriving, torturing, injuring or abandoning animals; failure to provide proper sustenance; requirements for restraining dogs and using outdoor enclosures.”
Officers from Metro’s newest department, the Animal Cruelty Unit, will discuss what constitutes animal abuse, the reasons why it’s important to investigate animal cruelty, contests that involve animal cruelty such as dog or cockfighting and how to rescue and adopt abused animals.
Free Admission to The Mob Museum following the event to guests attending Community Safety Forums sponsored by NV Energy. Also thanks to NV Energy’s generous support, The Mob Museum will provide live streaming of the presentations on our website.
This monthly program is part of a joint Mob Museum-Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department partnership, sponsored by NV Energy, presenting a series of Monthly Community Safety Forums Saturdays through 2016.
