The Mob Museum’s monthly Community Safety Forums continue on Sunday, May 28, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Presented in partnership with University of Nevada Las Vegas Department of Police Services and sponsored by NV Energy, the event will focus on Self-Defense & Personal Safety. Led by Sergeant Denise Lutey with the UNLV Department of Police Services, topics to be discussed include:
- Crime and personal safety in your area.
- How to avoid becoming a victim of violent crime.
- Identifying sexual assault and where this threat may be prevalent.
- Explanation of protection orders, and how they can be used.
- How to contact the police in an emergency to report a sexual assault.
Take-away materials, including information on online resources and self-defense classes in Southern Nevada, also will be available.
