June 18: Trial by Peers. FREE MONTHLY COMMUNITY SAFETY FORUM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CLARK COUNTY LAW FOUNDATION AND SPONSORED BY NV ENERGY
Registration is required.
The Mob Museum’s monthly Community Safety Forums continue on Sunday, June 18, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Presented in partnership with the Clark County Law Foundation and sponsored by NV Energy, the event will focus on alternative programs for juvenile offenders. Trial By Peers is an innovative diversion program used as an alternative for first-time and some second-time juvenile offenders. This program allows juveniles charged with misdemeanors to be tried, represented, and sentenced by their peers. Learn ways in which youth can take advantage of this program – whether as a defendant, a peer counselor, or a juror. Trial By Peers works in cooperation with the Clark County Bar Association and the Department of Family and Youth Services and is based on the Youth Court concept.
Please visit the Clark County Law Foundation or Trial By Peers for more information.
Registration is required for the June 18 CSF.
Free Admission to The Mob Museum following the event to guests attending Community Safety Forums sponsored by NV Energy. Also thanks to NV Energy’s generous support, The Mob Museum will provide live streaming of the presentations on our website.
This monthly program is part of a joint Mob Museum-Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department partnership, sponsored by NV Energy, presenting a series of Monthly Community Safety Forums Sundays through 2017.
