What happens when you combine a train ride, a card trick and legendary mobster Meyer Lansky?
This actual chance encounter with Lansky changed the life of Bernie Sindler who went on to become longtime Las Vegas card dealer, executive host, investor and friend to some of the 20th century’s most notorious wiseguys.
As part of this riveting presentation, Sindler, while not a mobster himself, will share behind-the-scenes stories of working for Bugsy Siegel at the fledgling Flamingo Hotel. The discussion also will include revealing and personal tales of famous and infamous characters such as Lansky, Johnny Rosselli, Charles “Lucky” Luciano, Moe Dalitz, Virginia Hill and Frank Sinatra.
Geoff Schumacher, The Mob Museum’s senior director of content and author of Sun, Sin & Suburbia: The History of Modern Las Vegas, will interview Sindler.
Sindler is author of The Bernie Sindler Story: My Life with Meyer Lansky, Bugsy Siegel, and the Mob. Sindler will sign copies of his book following the presentation.
