October 20: Two Book Signings for novels with Las Vegas and Mob narratives

The Mob Museum will host two writers for book signings of their recently published novels, both that focus on Las Vegas Mob themes in The Mob Museum’s retail store.

Brian Rouff, author of The House Always Wins
11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

The House Always Wins features a young reporter, fixer-upper house, corrupt casino owner and ghost of a Sin City racketeer. Part road trip, part coming-of-age saga, part mystery, part ghost story, this book is Rouff’s third Las Vegas novel.

Tod Goldberg, author of Gangster Nation
3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Take an ex-mobster turned rabbi, Mob “laundering” of bodies through a mortuary and a retired FBI agent bent on avenging the murder of his former partner and Gangster Nation touches off a series of events that combine Las Vegas, the law and the Mob. Gangster Nation is the follow-up to Gangsterland.   

The two book signings are held in conjunction with the Vegas Valley Book Festival.

Brian Rouff

Brian Rouff was born in Detroit, raised in Southern California and has lived in Las Vegas since 1981, which makes him a long-timer by local standards. When he’s not writing articles, screenplays and Las Vegas novels such as Dice Angel, Money Shot, and The House Always Wins, he runs Imagine Communications, a Henderson-based marketing and public relations firm. On a personal note, Brian is married with two grown daughters and five grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys movies, playing guitar and the occasional trip to the casino buffet line.
