December 2: Join The Mob Museum’s Cocktail Crawl and vote for the winner of the Boss of the Bars Trophy!
Each map includes directions and hours of participating bars
During Prohibition, you had to get your liquor from mobsters or bootleggers tied to organized crime. But now, you can celebrate the repeal of Prohibition by imbibing in downtown Las Vegas cocktails.
The Mob Museum recognizes Repeal Day—the most spirited date on the calendar—with the return of our Cocktail Crawl on December 2 to name our 2017 Boss of the Bars!
Join the fun, taste and vote for Prohibition-era cocktails from the participating bars. Each specialty cocktail will be $5 on December 2 only. Free maps of the cocktail crawl will be available prior to the event at the Museum and online.
The cocktail crawl and Boss of the Bars competition commemorates December 5, 1933 – the date when Prohibition was repealed and Americans could once again legally enjoy their favorite alcoholic beverages. Participating bars include Freedom Beat at Downtown Grand, Triple George Grill, Bin 702, Parlour Bar at El Cortez, The Kitchen at Atomic and Oscar’s Steakhouse at the Plaza.
To help determine this year’s Boss of the Bars champion, The Mob Museum filmed participating bartenders preparing and telling the stories behind their drinks, inspired by Prohibition and bearing names such as the Bootlegger Sour, the Gimlet and more. These videos can be found below, or on the Museum’s Facebook page. Vote for your favorite bar or cocktail beginning on December 1, join the cocktail crawl and celebrate Repeal Day with us. On December 5, the winning bar will be crowned, taking home several exciting prizes as well as the Museum’s coveted Boss of the Bars trophy to display for one year.
