Captain Kelly McMahill has been a Law Enforcement professional with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for over 20 years; Kelly has held positions in Patrol, Community Oriented Policing and Internal Affairs. In 2012, when the Department of Justice entered into an agreement to conduct the first ever Collaborative Reform Process with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Kelly was chosen as the sergeant to assist in the creation of the Office of Internal Oversight and became the main liaison with the Department of Justice. From 2012-2014, Kelly was a member of the team that implemented numerous groundbreaking reforms related to the use of deadly force by officers. Many of these reforms are now counted as best practices around the country. In 2013, Kelly promoted to lieutenant and proudly served in the Bolden Area Command where she led efforts in community engagement and crime fighting. In 2014, Kelly was assigned to the Critical Incident Review Team which conducts all administrative investigations of deadly force incidents by officers. In March of 2017, Kelly promoted to captain and was assigned to run the Internal Oversight and Constitutional Policing Bureau which oversees the criminal and administrative investigations into use of deadly force and other high risk incidents involving LVMPD officers. In December of 2017, Kelly transferred to South Central Area Command. Although Kelly loves working for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, her greatest joy comes from being married to Kevin McMahill, who is the LVMPD Undersheriff and raising their five children together.

Christine Cole has more than 30 years’ experience in the safety and justice sector — in policing, institutional and community-based corrections, victim advocacy, community organizing, and prosecution in the United States, Africa, Europe, Asia, the Pacific, and the Caribbean. She has extensive experience as a collaborator and facilitator with practitioners, community members, and academics, working as a change agent across a variety of topics and levels of government. Christine has contributed to research and writing about police organization, leadership, oversight and the organization of first responders to mass casualty and active shooter events. Her current focus is on safety and justice reform that embraces data to understand the current situation, design the right solution, and communicate results. Christine holds a MPA from Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, MA in community psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell and BA from Boston College.

Greg McCurdy is a retired Law Enforcement Executive, whose career spanned over 30 years with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. He spent his last nine years as a Senior Executive, serving as the Assistant Sheriff responsible for Homeland Security and Law Enforcement Investigations, as well Deputy Chief assignments leading both the Homeland Security Division, Special Operations Division, and Chief of Detectives. Upon retirement, he was selected to be the Vice President of Corporate Security for sbe Entertainment. A part of his responsibilities included being on the opening team for the SLS Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, where he built and led the Security and Surveillance Teams. He is currently working as a Security Consultant for the National Football League. He is a graduate of the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, FBI National Academy Class 197, Harvard’s Kennedy School’s Senior Executives in State and Local Government Executive Education Certificate Program and Harvard’s National Preparedness Leadership Program. He is a Lifetime Member of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, The International Association of Chiefs of Police, The Police Executive Research Forum and a member of ASIS International, the largest Professional Security Organization.
