You could say that Mob On the Run is the definitive story of the Mob’s rise and fall in Las Vegas. This 1987 documentary tells the story of the criminal underworld’s role in building the city. Now you can see the film and hear the story firsthand from two of the people who were there when it happened.
“Mob On the Run” reveals how the Mob played a key role in the rise and expansion of the city of Las Vegas, and details organized crime’s past involvement in our local casino industry from its beginnings. Also covered are the efforts of law enforcement to bring these crime bosses to justice.
Moderator Geoff Schumacher will present the documentary’s producer Bob Stoldal and journalist George Knapp as they relate their stories and insights into the making of Mob on the Run and how it impacted Las Vegas.
