Discover how this remote desert town became the capital of live entertainment in the 1950s and ’60s. Claire White, educational programs manager for The Mob Museum, shares audio and video clips that highlight the biggest names in Las Vegas history, including Liberace, Louis Prima, the Rat Pack and Elvis Presley. Learn where the stars performed and how their big shows (and bigger paychecks) shaped Las Vegas.

Claire White

As the educational programs manager for The Mob Museum, Claire White is responsible for the creation of educational and interpretive programs featured on-site and across the Las Vegas Valley as well as contributing to exhibit development. She earned a master’s degree in public history from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s in history and secondary education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has more than a decade of experience in museums and archives, including the Liberace Museum and the Nantucket Historical Association in Massachusetts.
