Johnny Rosselli was the Mob’s legendary “man in Hollywood” and one of the key figures in the golden age of Las Vegas. Lee Server, author of Handsome Johnny: The Life and Death of Johnny Rosselli, will trace the mobster’s rise from Prohibition-era bootlegger to the Chicago Outfit’s representative in the movie capital. He will focus on Rosselli’s connections to Las Vegas, including orchestrating the Mob’s sales of casinos to Howard Hughes. Rosselli’s involvement with the CIA’s secret mission to assassinate Cuban dictator Fidel Castro also will be discussed.
Book signing will follow in the retail store after the event.
