Community Safety Day: Free Family Event with Live Demonstrations & Special Activities – Traffic Safety
With record numbers of accidents and fatalities on local roadways, traffic safety is an increasingly important issue in the Las Vegas Valley. Community Safety Day is a free, family-friendly event focused on a range of road safety issues. In partnership with the Road Equity Alliance Project, the Museum will host interactive experiences and demonstrations, as well as giveaways, a Sandwich Brothers Delicatessen food truck and more.
Activities Include:
- Alcohol impairment simulation goggles tricycle challenge
- Distracted driving simulator
- Las Vegas Fire & Rescue truck walk-through
- Community Ambulance walk-through
- Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada safety presentation
- Information booths
- Sandwich Brothers Delicatessen food truck
- Giveaways including bike helmets, car seats and more
In addition, every individual who visits all the participating vendor stations and completes a vendor pass will receive free admission to explore all four floors of The Mob Museum. Free admission to the Museum is based on availability.
Reservations are not needed to attend. This event will take place outdoors in The Mob Museum’s new event plaza. Vendors include American Red Cross, Car Seats for Christy, Clark County Safe Kids, Clark County School District Police, Community Ambulance, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Pedestrian Safety Nevada, Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, Sandwich Brothers Delicatessen, Southern Nevada Bicycle Coalition, UMC Lions Burn Care Center, UMC Trauma Center, UNLV School of Medicine and Zero Teen Fatalities.
