As Formula One returns to Las Vegas for the first time in 40 years, this program will explore the history of auto racing in the entertainment capital of the world – and the Mob’s role in making it happen. Racing historian Randy Cannon and retired casino executive Bill Weinberger will look back at the Stardust International Raceway in the 1960s and the Caesars Palace Grand Prix in the early 1980s, and discuss the ties between organized crime and past eras of Las Vegas racing glory.
