COUNTERTERRORISM: LVMPD TO PRESENT COMMUNITY SAFETY FORUM AT THE MOB MUSEUM SUNDAY, APRIL 17, 2 P.M.

WHAT:

The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, partners with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) to host March’s Community Safety Forum on the topic of Counterterrorism.  The world currently faces challenges in the war to combat extreme and radical ideologies and behaviors, according to the LVMPD. The event is sponsored by NV Energy.

At this forum, attendees will learn about:

  • Fusion Centers
  • Southern Nevada Counterterrorism (Fusion) Center
  • Definition of terrorism
  • Current threat environment
  • Suspicious activity indicators
  • Seven signs of terrorism
  • How to report suspicious activity via non-traditional means
